No prior knowledge of the subject is required.
3. Introduction
Over the past few years, research in quantum biophysics—a very recent and relatively unknown field—has shown that quantum effects play a role in the functioning of living organisms. In many biological phenomena, states of quantum coherence play a fundamental role. We are beginning to learn more and more about these quantum phenomena, such as photosynthesis, enzymatic action, genetic inheritance, birds’ orientation along the Earth’s magnetic field, and cellular biophotonic emission, to name a few examples. Quantum Physics is an essential subject in biology and the health sciences.
Quantum mechanics offers the possibility of taking alternative paths at the same time, being in two places at once, and then choosing the most efficient path. This answers the question that often causes discomfort within the classical-corpuscular paradigm:
How is a molecule able to find its partner at the right time and in the right place?
How is the body able to coordinate millions of cells at the same time?
The wave-particle duality, a hallmark of quantum physics, is intrinsic to every particle, yet the wave-like nature of its non-trivial effects (manifestations of quantum laws with macroscopic effects) is not taken into account by conventional biology, which is still based on a Newtonian particle-based conception of the human being. This knowledge is now essential, since discoveries in recent decades have revealed that states of quantum coherence exist in living beings, and this radically changes the paradigm of classical biology. This could explain some of the mechanisms underlying complementary therapies or any energetic view of the essence of life, a profoundly wave-like view of matter.
About Quantum Biology and Its Extreme Importance
Biocommunication within the body requires quantum keys such as the coordination of trillions of atoms through wave patterns.
There are many biological processes in which quantum tunneling occurs, where the electron travels as a wave. Think about just how incredibly fast these electrons move along the protein and respiratory chains.
It is known that the coherent emission of biophotons by cells influences a person's state of health. Biophotons carry information and control our body, since the human body is an organized field of information. A person's state of consciousness plays a fundamental role in this coherent emission. Therefore, it is necessary to view human beings holistically, with mind and body forming part of a single unit.
4. Objectives
5. Organization and Methodology
The course consists of an initial set of instructional units that make up Part 1 of the course, which is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of quantum mechanics (see list of topics). Each lesson is accompanied by its corresponding questionnaire.
In this first part, we will explore the new paradigm offered by quantum theory, as well as the key concepts and laws that govern the atomic and subatomic worlds. Complementing these fundamental pillars, a connection is drawn to the phenomenon of consciousness, subtle energies, and the energetic dimension of the universe.
It might seem as though the world of quantum physics is an elitist branch of science, far removed from everyday experience. Nothing could be further from the truth, since the quantum world is the most fundamental level of matter, and everything we see is based on it. That is why it is important to understand how it works, including in the context of cellular life. It is a powerful tool for unifying different fields of knowledge and serves as the basis for numerous applications.
Part 2 of the course, Quantum Biophysics, is organized into three modules, some additional worksheets, and a question form. This section introduces us to the field of biology and the recent field of quantum biophysics. There are some truly spectacular studies showing how water is capable of storing electromagnetic information, or how there is a transmission channel throughout the body that completely defies any conventional explanation.
Quantum biophysics speaks to us of coordination, of a collective synergy that transcends any individual behavior, that goes beyond any view of the organism as a collection of cells and organs independent of one another or as a collection of molecules interacting randomly, like “billiard balls”. Life is characterized by a highly organized and majestically orchestrated state. It is from this perspective that human beings are studied from two angles: the electromagnetic field and the holographic field.
